5 Steps to a Better Nights Sleep

Hey guys welcome back to my blog. Hope your all having a fabulous day.? In todays blog post I’ll be sharing with you 5 really simple things you could do in the evening to help you get a better nights sleep. I know I haven’t been sleeping very well lately. So I wanted to get back to basics and do some of these really simple things to try and help me sleep a whole lot better, so I can wake up feeling refreshed.

One of the things I like to do is tidy up my room/house, I’m all about clear space equals clear mind and having a clear mind going to bed is so important. So I like to do a little bit of a tidy up, clean my room/house and clean up my mind so I can go to bed feeling much more at peace.

The next thing I like to do is to freshen up. I cannot go to sleep if I feel unclean, so I like to have long hot showers. I love to pamper myself in the shower and maybe do a face mask or a hair mask, do the little extras that make me feel good and then get into some super comfy PJ’s and then I’m so ready for bed.

Something I know that will definitely put me to sleep is making a cup of tea, theres just something about a really nice warm drink that helps me get to sleep, so much easier. It’s a bonus if you can bring Lavender or Chamomile as these kinds of teas are really good for soothing and calming you down and will put you on the right track to having a good night’s sleep.

I love to make my room smell really good especially with soothing scents like Lavender, as I said before it’s incredibly soothing and it will help put you to sleep. Having Lavender sprays like the Mario Badescu one and spraying it on my pillows and bed before I hop into bed. You can also use essential oils and dab some on a tissue and put it under you pillow and light some nice scented lavender candles are my favourite things to do before bed.

The most important thing that you can do to have a better nights sleep is to ditch the digital. That means no laptop, no phones, no TV, no electronics, get them out of your bedroom. Do things like maybe talk to someone, if you have a partner or reading a book, that is going to put youth sleep. Don’t read stuff on your iPhone or whatever is going to keep you awake. So ditch the digital for a better night’s sleep.

Those are a few of my favourite things to do when I’m struggling to get a good night’s sleep. I hope this blog post was somewhat helpful if you are struggling with sleeping at the moment. Please in the comments below what are some of you tips to getting a good night’s sleep.

Thank you so much for reading, if you enjoyed this blog post please give it a share, like or comment.

Until next time

I agree with all these comments. I have also recently learned that I need to drink lots of water during the day for a good sleep, otherwise I get terrible leg cramps during the night. I have to think during the afternoon whether I’m setting myself up for a good sleep, which means I stop any caffeine after lunch and make sure I’ve had lots of water.

I love the idea of using lavender. I have the essential oils but never think about it as I’m crawling in bed. These all sound so comforting and cozy! No doubt it leads to solid rest. I need to start implementing all of these!

I’ve been using a weighted blanket for sleep which works great. Also use lavender essential oil diluted with lavender lotion on feet and neck at night.

These are all great! I have a lot of trouble sleeping so I’ve had to use a lot of these! I love using tea to calm down, and I also find that diffusing essential oils helps me sleep better as well.
